Well the MoviePass definitely is a great deal, whether the business model will be sustainable remains to be seen
Hello stranger Hope your feeling is right and you are very brave b/c i've been too scared to hold this one!!
I see moviepass business model working very well. Mitch lowe the CEO said he even thinks it can one day operate at 5 dollars per month. Some upcoming catalysts are his meeting with major studios in early October. Also per sec filing movie pass has to ipo and be tradeable by January 31. If not then they forfeit 10m dollars worth of hmny stock. As of now I kinda see a nflx type story here. Big money to be made. Movie pass CEO was nflx cofounder. Also Redbox cofounder.
Streetsweeper still working overtime on HMNY & still have this disclosure @ bottom of latest article too & the truth probably rests somewhere in the middle... >> " * Important Disclosure: The owners of TheStreetSweeper hold a short position in HMNY and stand to profit on any future declines in the stock price." https://thestreetsweeper.org/unders...s__HMNY___TheStreetSweeper_Demands_Correction
Streetsweaper likes to act like they are uncovering lies when they are lieing. just googling Mitch lowe will show he was a founding executive of netflix then Redbox poached him.
^^ know i don't know what the true story is here but do know that there is usually truth on both sides of any story so tend not to buy into anything i read or hear completely - that is , unless the person and/or source is proven to be trustworthy, which is kind of hard to do in the stock market world. Also know some of us played HMNY's last rocket trip last year which is why i am very cautious with this company lol. In any event, did click on the link in their story to the Netflex "Prospectus" & what they claimed was true & quick Goog search also confirmed (largest chain) AMC claims so who knows... Went back to locate >> Neflix Pg 52 - https://ir.netflix.com/secfiling.cfm?filingID=1012870-02-2475&CIK=
That past worries me a bit too. I find a bit of comfort that when their stock flew up in the past they don't have a history of dilution and reverse splits. I think they just simply tried and failed. In keeping a close eye for anything suspicious and will drop it if I see it. Any info you come across is appreciated.
Looking forward to the upcoming news releases. Should be filing for the IPO soon. Also I think on the 14th or near then they may release new subscriber numbers.
lol looks like following is what had stock popping... Helios & Matheson Shares Volatile Over Last Few Mins. Amid Confusion Related To Firm Making Comments On MoviePass: Was Originally Reported By Business Insider As Morgan Stanley, This Was Incorrect; It Was A Credit Suisse Note From Pre Open - https://www.benzinga.com/analyst-ra...heson-shares-volatile-over-last-few-mins-amid CREDIT SUISSE: One company could hit movie theaters hard (AMC, CNK, RGC) - http://markets.businessinsider.com/...it-hard-morgan-stanley-says-2017-9-1002756452
So anyone here actually signed up for the MoviePass subscription? For the ticket prices at where I live, it would be cheaper for me to use MoviePass even if I go to watch movies just once a month
Tried to sell at 23.00. Then would buy back around 17 but didn't pull it off. Just gonna hold for now
^^ congrats siri & i give you a lot of credit b/c i was too scared to hold this thing for more than an hour or so & even for more than a few minutes at times - kept expecting it to crash & to be honest, i still do...
It's hilarious people are shorting this when the conference is literally right around the corner. Sub count can ONLY go up from here.
