I wonder if we will see a repeat of Wednesday, open down big but finish in green NFP could have some impact too, should be an interesting day tomorrow
I'm just waiting for the Chinese retaliation....which is sure to come, but when? Will they wait till just right before our markets open, like Trump did, or make a statement sooner? You know it's coming....just a matter of time.
True, if they announce something during the market hours tomorrow, the market probably would be very volatile
Yeah a little strange indeed. Hong Kong was closed for holiday yesterday, I guess they are playing a little catch up since our market was up pretty nicely for 2 days in a row.
china says they dont want a trade war, but america started it and they are willing to fight till the end....trump cmon man, set up a deal or something, dont go down this path....
Actually, they started it by taxing the hell out of our products, and manipulating their currency. Bitching about not letting chinese companies own American companies, but they do the same thing to us. We created their booming economy. The rest of the globe needs to man up and speak up, because they are getting screwed just as bad as us. We've been patient long enough with their promises that they never seem to keep. Now its up to them to act like adults, or get spanked like a child....lol
i agree with you, i would just prefer their spanking not be on the backs of my portfolio lol. spx wedged in between the 8 and 21. Micron trying to reclaim the 50 day it lost today.
I can't link to the WSJ article because it's behind a paywall. But there is a Reuters article...I almost hate to mention it because I think Reuters is garbage. But it's there too lol. "China warned on Friday it was fully prepared to respond with a “fierce counter strike” of fresh trade measures if the United States follows through on President Donald Trump’s threat to slap tariffs on an additional $100 billion in Chinese goods." This seems to debunk the theory that China and the U.S. have been negotiating in a backroom and were close to agreement, while they postured on the worldwide stage.
