Reran the algorithm with some cash on the side to not get into the issue I was yesterday. Long VXX at the open 38.88 770 shares
For swing trading as a long, anything non above 2700 should be fine because as I mentioned, as long as a person buys non above 2730, a person can exit at break even or at a profit. So, maybe from 2680 to 2700 should be a meaningful entry for a long. Of course, even well non above 2680 is ok too from this perspective
Walgreens, CVS and Rite-Aid lose $12 billion in value after Amazon buys online pharmacy PillPack Shares of Walgreens Boots Alliance, CVS Health and Rite Aid plunge as investors worry a new deal by Amazon to acquire online pharmacy PillPack will disrupt the drugstore market. PillPack is licensed to ship prescriptions in 49 states and likely booked more than $100 million in revenue last year. The three pharmacy stocks collectively lost $12.8 billion in market value on Thursday alone. https://www.cnbc.com/2018/06/28/wal...ter-amazon-buys-online-pharmacy-pillpack.html
Ok. Looks like it's going back up. I had wanted to enter some more long around 2690 but it didn't quite hit that spot. Oh, well. I am already in long. I expect the price to hit minimally 2730. But it could go much higher. I shall decide what to do once the price rallies to that level.
My current plan: 1. buy more long if the SPX is between 2680 to 2690; 2. exit for profit taking at around 2760 to 2780
Wells Fargo, JP Morgan, Citi will hike dividends, buy back more stock after passing Fed stress test https://www.cnbc.com/2018/06/28/fed-gives-34-banks-approval-for-capital-return-plans.html Financials rallying AH, let's see if they will lead the market higher tomorrow or we might see some rotation out of tech into the banks tomorrow
man, can't believe we close the books on h1 2018 tomorrow. where has this year gone?! here is a quick peak at the major indices performance for the year up to this point: after all the up's and down's this month it looks like we'll close more or less flat for the month (at least for the spx); for the quarter we're up close to +3% and for the year about +2%; not too bad given all the volatility we have seen this year, almost completely the opposite of what we saw last year. (not sure why the transports isn't pulling data)
