Energy Fuels Inc ISIN: CA2926717083 Code: UUUU Anyone following this company? Seems to be a not so well known one (which seems weird given the fact it is a leading US-based uranium and vanadium producer. The stock got a pretty low rating for a while but it seems to slowly move up again (today it is getting up by my than 10%).
Energy Fuels Inc., together with its subsidiaries, engages in the extraction, recovery, exploration, and sale of uranium in the United States. It operates in two segments, Conventional Uranium and ISR Uranium. The company owns and operates the Nichols Ranch uranium recovery facility located in Wyoming; the Alta Mesa project located in Texas; and the White Mesa Mill located in Utah. It also holds interests in uranium and uranium/vanadium properties and projects in various stages of exploration, permitting, and evaluation located in Utah, Wyoming, Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado. The company was formerly known as Volcanic Metals Exploration Inc. and changed its name to Energy Fuels Inc. in May 2006. Energy Fuels Inc. was incorporated in 1987 and is headquartered in Lakewood, Colorado.
Yeah,... that I know. But it seems nobody here is following it or owns the stock. It does surprise me since it is not a small company and an important one.
Two years later, at the same price. It seems they are now debt-free and not listed on the TSX anymore. https://www.newswire.ca/news-releas...-free-unique-in-uranium-sector-831010977.html "We have a number of opportunities in front of us right now, any one of which could result in significant cash flows for the Company. Critical minerals, including uranium, rare earth elements, and vanadium, are front-and-center in the U.S. right now, including bipartisan support in the U.S. government. We are continuing to work with our allies in the Administration and Congress to create a strategic U.S. uranium reserve to enhance national security and energy security. As the leading uranium miner in the U.S., with more production facilities, capacity, expertise and in-ground resources than any other U.S. uranium producer, we expect to be one of the prime beneficiaries of any U.S. government support. "We were also pleased that the U.S. Department of Commerce was recently able to reduce uranium and nuclear fuel imports into the U.S. from Russia over the long-term, thereby eliminating the specter of more state-owned uranium imports entering the U.S. President Trump's Executive Orders on critical minerals last week may be an important step toward the U.S. government providing tangible support and/or funding to producers and processors of critical minerals, including the uranium and vanadium we currently produce, and the rare earth elements we hope to produce in the future. And of course, global uranium markets, where spot prices are up over 20% this year, appear poised to continue their bounce-back, due to significant global production cutbacks and the fact that current spot and term pricing cannot sustain new or existing primary supply. Energy Fuels has created a number of significant, potentially 'game changing,' catalysts while also maintaining a strong working capital position and eliminating debt. We look forward to continuing to provide updates in the coming weeks and months on several of these initiatives."
They are also keen on boosting the rare earth productions. Not really common in America, I must admit. https://ca.proactiveinvestors.com/c...ins-us-government-design-contract-929551.html Energy Fuels Inc (NYSEAMERICAN:UUUU) (TSX:EFR) announced Monday a further boost to its rare earths production aims as it revealed it is set to be awarded a US government contract. The Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Fossil Energy (FE) and the National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) are looking to award the uranium firm, a contract that will see it working with a team from Penn State University, to develop a conceptual design to commercially produce mixed rare earth oxides (REO) from coal-based resources, Energy Fuels said in a statement.
https://ca.proactiveinvestors.com/c...ins-us-government-design-contract-929551.html “These minerals are needed for aerospace, computers, cell phones, electrical generation and transmission, renewable energy systems and batteries, and advanced electronics. This is an unacceptable situation for a superpower like the United States, and we applaud President Trump for taking bold action to address this critical need.”
I am looking to enter into US Uranium companies in the near future. Every commodity gets its turn. Uranium prices are likely to rise mid- to long-term. Although there is now bipartisan support in the US for nuclear energy, I am not sure how US Uranium stocks will react if Trump loses. Share prices could go down a bit which might provide a good opportunity to buy some shares... UUUU is a company on my watchlist.
At this point it's really difficult to know what's going to happen in the future. I believe this could be a good stock to invest in if timed properly.
