Summer is officially over after the Labor Day next Monday, let’s see if we will begin to see more trading volume or more volatility in the fall before the midterm elections
happy friday stockaholics! today is the final trading day of august. this year is really flying! have not done one of these in quite a long while. figured i can get one up for month end today before the upcoming long weekend. here is the pre-market thread for those wanting to get a quick read before today's open- <-- click there to open! hope everyone has a great final trading day of august today!
hmm, going to take a gamble that more highs are to come. just got in some nflx and twlo today. keeping an eye on MU, the chart looks like its setting up to run.
I'm looking for MU over 54.50. Until then, still having trouble retaking the 50 ma and the old trend support. Related stock WDC is showing a lot of weakness.
here is next week's earnings whispers calendar for those wanting to look ahead- (full post here: https://www.stockaholics.net/threads/upcoming-earnings.3838/page-9#post-84135) and just a quick reminder to all that the markets are closed here in the states this monday. hope everyone has a really nice long weekend!
So when we getting that good news from Trump? Looking at bond charts, thinking they might be going up (rates down).
Yeah if the emerging markets continue to experience problems, the FED might need to slow the path of rate hikes to prevent the dollar from getting too strong, and bonds yields probably move lower if the FED is dovish
whelp, as we're wrapping up the trading month of August here (which is looking to go out pretty nicely -- i think i heard it was one of the best "aug." in like 18yrs for the nasdaq? ) i just wanted to quickly take this opportunity to thank those of you who keep these discussions threads going every week! summer unofficially comes to a close after labor day, so i'm hopeful things will begin to pick again as far as participation on the forums go. honestly wouldn't mind to see some vol. next month as well it's going to start getting a little busier with the fed, midterms, and geopolitics potentially heating up again. i should be on a bit more from next month as well. anyway, i hope you and your families & friends all have a really nice long weekend! enjoy the day off on monday. i'll have the new weekly thread up a little later this evening as usual.
Haha yeah, hopefully the last 4 months will be exciting for the market If nothing too dramatic happens though, looks like it could be another good year for the bulls
