OSTK could be a monster tomorrow if they beat, 49% short float and 7% institutional trans. , no debt and 5.37/share cash on a $20 stock. A few early signs of buy volume coming in on the 15m. If they beat I'll be on this tomorrow.
Yeah if we get to 3.5% relatively quickly (like by end of this year), then I can see a good chance of another pretty big pullback in equities.
Dollar index pretty much at HOD, equity market is down but is actually holding better than I thought it would be on higher dollar I guess we will see how the market closes
I would bet on that. I'm sure the dems in the house will be looking to give the president his (real) middle class tax cut pushing debts up and sucking more cash out of the markets. Also the FED is still unwinding and will only continue to increase their pace imo.
Getting hit after earnings I guess the housing slowdown in this country is for real In some areas home prices are getting out of control, a lot of people can't afford to buy anymore even if they have good solid incomes
Good Friday morning to all. Here is the pre-market thread for those of you wanting to get a quick read before today's open- <-- click there to read! Happy trading to all on this final trading day of the week.
wow, crude down again today and printing a 59-handle oil is now off over -20% in just a couple of weeks from its recent peak of near $77 this is now the longest "losing streak" for crude, since, get this folks..........in 35 years since 1983 there has not been a daily losing streak of 10 days for crude oil
Yeah amazing crash for oil Commodities are all struggling now due to stronger dollar Still early but for now it looks like we will finish in red, still a very good week overall but maybe the volatility that we saw in October isn’t done yet
Saw GE trading with an 8 handle. So took a look at JCP and SHLD. Chart for SHLD wasn't coming up; turns out it's SHLDQ, finally. That's actually up 9% today. Has this whole rally been a dead cat bounce? Only a small number of stocks pushing to new highs. Seems like they're mostly in the telecom field, perhaps related to 5G?
