What are peoples thoughts concerning penny stocks. Should a relatively new investor look into penny stocks to invest some of their money in?
99.999% of the time, No... "Penny stocks" are listed on OTC (over the counter) exchanges because they lack the quality and/or transparency to be listed on the major exchanges... In addition they tend to be heavily manipulated by underhanded operators and promotional agencies... Unless you know the game they are playing and how to play it yourself, you would be well advised to steer clear of OTC and put your money into something with NYSE or NASDAQ behind it
