    Similar distress can be felt in guest houses all over the world. Yahoo Singapour Journalists interviewed travellers in Cuba that were told the bar was closing and they just weren't welcome anymore.

    And they would still need to find somewhere to stay. Many homestay casas have closed their doors to tourists, meaning they have to find lodging at state-run hotels, which can be three or four times more expensive.

    Slovenian Mara Marinich, 62, was due to go home Tuesday.

    "I had a return ticket through Alitalia from Havana to Rome to Trieste, but all of my flights were canceled," she said.

    At the casa she was staying, she was told everyone had to leave.

    "I don't have the money to buy another ticket," she said. And "I don't have the money to pay for a hotel."

    "Part of the gains are likely to be based on Trump's statement that he believes the economy is more important than corona lives, because it will be difficult to prove that the recession costs more lives than a contagion corona scenario, although it may be true. Especially with such an emotional topic he has a bad hand there. His judgment with regard to his constituents has always been much more accurate than his other judgments. But whether he didn't shoot himself in the knee here remains to be seen. He is playing a dangerous game and apparently he has not quite understood exponential growth. Let's see how he holds out when in 2 weeks the first horror pictures or numbers (more then 100.000 infected) make rounds. Unfortunately that would then also imply many additional deaths. But I am confident that he will soon have to give in to the pressure of his electorate. Many will think that he is sacrificing many people for a little economic growth and will take away his confidence. Well, perhaps many will already be sitting in the streets and relativising their attitude in terms of the value of a human life." (translated by me for you guys :D)

    Comment by a stock expert from Germany today. He also points out, that his best guess right now is, that we will see another -30%. I don't know if I agree... We might have seen the lowest point already... But I think, that the market will stay volatile on this level for the full April. If numbers hit the US hard, we might face a new scenario. In Europe numbers seem to get better.

    What's interesting, might be the scenario we get, whn the virus spreads more in Brazil. Especially interesting for passive investments e.g. emerging markets, etc.

    What do you guys think?

    Ha ha, yes. Down to a "High consequence infectious disease (HCID)", which is defined on the UK website according to the following criteria::

    * acute infectious disease
    * typically has a high case-fatality rate
    * may not have effective prophylaxis or treatment
    * often difficult to recognise and detect rapidly
    * ability to spread in the community and within healthcare settings
    * requires an enhanced individual, population and system response to ensure it is managed effectively, efficiently and safely

    Thus, regarding COVID-19, the stay-at-home guidelines remain in place (also copied in from the UK website):

    * Stay at home
    * Only go outside for food, health reasons or work (but only if you cannot work from home)
    * Stay 2 metres (6ft) away from other people
    * Wash your hands as soon as you get home
    * You can spread the virus even if you don’t have symptoms.

    Funny, I made the same face at the people ahead of me with their shopping cart full of 20 bottles of bleach, 10 packs of toilet paper, and all the dried beans the store had available.

    China. You know, if I could, I would boycott every damn Chinese product sold here in the US. The poisoned pet foods? The milk that killed dozens of people? The use of prison labor? The absolute rampant corruption? Now, selling substandard medical supplies? Come on.

    The thing is..

    And that makes me :oops:

    In your country the possibility that someone has a
    weapon with him trying to 'defend' his "hunt" is much
    more likely..

    Here, a punch fight would be the worst what can happen.
    Maybe one or two stabbings in the worst case..

    Here or there. No good.

    It times of crisis people are showing their worse-st sides.
    The low lives..
