Hi guys, bear with me as a bit new to this. I recently started basic trading with a Revolut account on the NYSE. I’ve seen today a lot of shares are way way up over the weekend. For example Alcoa closed at 6.55 and says 398 dollars now and advance auto parts closed at 95 and says 482 dollars today. Does this actually mean anything? Will they just drop back to around where they were at close on Friday ? Just not sure what the relevance of the weekend movement in price, thanks

in the midst of SARS-COV-2 pandemics we face very uncertain situation which mean that risk asset (like stock) will be very volatile
(pandemics came, fear came, stock bloodbathed, FED step in, printing money, and all stock flying)

in the short run, I believe it is very difficult to predict where the price go, even without surprising event
keep eye on valuation and long term strategy

After hours bid ask spreads will widen when a stock is not traded frequently after hours. The spread is meaningless and will return to a normal range when trading resumes. Ameritrade shows a bid ask of 6.05-6.80 right now on Sunday morning
