My wife and I both have two shots of Phizer. Mine were 9 weeks apart, my wife's were 7 weeks apart.

Both of us had minor ache at the injection site for the first shot. Both of us were hit pretty hard on the second shot.

The Earth has survived way worse than us. We're just hastening our own demise.

Me, my wife, and my kids over 12 are all double dosed on Pfizer. Small side effects from me, a bit more from my wife, the kids were unaffected.

this cat is deep. i've read couple of his books, anti-fragile and skin in the game. here is his take on covid. when you have 15 minutes check it out. like his books may have to re-watch for this information to be absorbed.

Per the Moderna, I had to wait several weeks for the second dose. I have friends who got Pfizer, was there a time frame as well?

I got my first dose of Moderna in February last year. Sore arm was the only side effect for about 2 days. I got my 2nd does of Moderna exactly 28 days later as recommended at the time. Felt nothing for about 20 hours, then got chills and a little nauseous. Went home from work at that point and took a 3-4 hour nap and felt completely fine after that. Just the sore arm for another day or so.

This is part of the American working world. Most states are "right to work" which means you can be hired and fired for anything. The military, healthcare, schools, etc. have required proof of vaccinations/immunizations for decades. Unfortunately for those who don't want to take the vaccine, employers realize that their businesses are more likely to continue running normal operations if their employees are vaccinated. Less people getting sick, therefore less people out on sick leave with symptoms, and less people infecting other employees. It's all about the dollar.

There are conflicting studies on this. This one released by the CDC last month found that the unvaccinated people who previously had COVID were 2.34 times more likely to get another case of COVID than those vaccinated. This study found that natural immunity is stronger and longer lasting than the vaccine, however also found that natural immunity + the first dose of the vaccine resulted in added protection as well.

Thankfully there's no evidence that any of the variants are mutating fast enough to "replace" delta to this point. There's also growing evidence that each mutation is still protected by the vaccine.

See first response above. This has been going on for decades in the military, public sector in some cases, and schools. What we're seeing now is PRIVATE businesses joining in to require vaccines for their employees, similar to how many private sector hospitals have been doing in the past. If Home Depot or wherever is mandating the vaccine, that's part of the capitalist system requiring their employees to stay healthy, as well as keep their healthcare coverage cost down. I have yet to see the government mandate a vaccine. Mandating a vaccine TO WORK IN A SPECIFIC JOB is happening though. That's part of right-to-work.

It is absolutely inside that vaccines are being required in order to participate in certain aspects of the private sector. Thankfully that bullshit has not spread outside of New York yet. I cant see shit like that flying in Texas or Arizona.

The fact that people are now losing their jobs regardless of the heath risks posed by the vaccine is insane.

My wife my have a lawsuit against CVS in the near future. She continues to have problems with the "reactive arthritis," that has not gone away and at times has gotten worse. We have since found out that 1 or 2 of her medications could have affected the vaccine but she was also never screened or asked about taking those medications prior to receiving the vaccination. Hopefully she doesnt keep getting worse. And if she dies, I am suing the shit out of CVS

I am also unpleasantly surprised with what is going on in the USA in terms of people's rights :( I believe that in other civilized countries the state of things is even worse. Though it brings zero relief.

Yep. Joe Biden continues to spit in the faces' of soldiers who have fought and died for the very liberties and freedoms these Mandates go against.

I am still out of work.... Living off my DraftKings earnings right now.

The US military has required dozens of vaccines for all members forever. I'm sure the ones who are upset about having to get a safe and effective FDA approved vaccine at this point had no issues getting their previous vaccines.

Comparing Apples and Oranges. I was in Active Duty, I remember getting all my shots and vaccinations. These are proven vaccines that actually PREVENT and prohibit the spread of the virus/disease they are targeting.

The COVID-19 Gene Therapy is NOT a Vaccine. It does not work how a traditional vaccine works. People who have received Gene Therapy are still contracting and still spreading the virus. This is NOT a vaccine.

    FALSE!

For fuck sake guys, Im about to lock this thread down for misinformation.

The COVID vaccine uses mRNA to teach your immune system what COVID looks like, and attack it much faster than an untrained immune system.

Gene therapy focuses on genetic modifications of cells. COVID vaccines are not genetically modifying your cells.

Bottom line is this: People that are vaccinated are dying less. Unvaccinated people are dying more. End of story. Do what you want and pray you do not end up in hospital if you are unvaxxed.

I think I need to explain why locking this thread is what I want to do.

    1) We are here to talk about the markets and stocks

    2) We all enjoy talking about the market and stocks

    3) If we allow misinformation here, I get sad and dont feel like having to counter facebook levels of misinformation on this financial board.

    4) We end up arguing because somebody read on facebook that COVID vaccines alter your genes / 5G / nanobots / Bill Gates microchip / Govt is tracking you / skin is now a magnet etc. I dont have the time or patience to debate shit your Aunt sent you from her facebook group.

    5) Instead of enjoying each others company and sharing insightful information on stocks we argue about nonsense that is easily debunked.

    6) You get mad and leave.

OR I can avoid all that and simply lock the thread.

Overwhelmingly, people living in red states are dying at higher rates than blue states.

If you are posting pro-COVID information in attempts to kill Republicans, I will lock down and delete that shit.

Jock-e, I am here to tell you the conspiracy theories are absolutely real.

I've been following a couple of Canadian companies pretty close and, when faced with the alternative of either weekly testing (at the employee's expense) or job loss, just over 20% of employees will still not take the vaccine. Of those who won't take the vaccine, about 80% will do the weekly testing. This, in Western Canada where Fox News has substantially lower market penetration.

This citation is anecdotal but the Greater Toronto Area municipal sports program is shutting down a lot of events due to lack of staff. They have made vaccine mandatory to work in that program and have lost a large number of employees. For some reason, athletic people seem particularly resistant to the idea of taking the vaccine.

I'm here to learn about investing and the market. While I'm not a trader, it helps to know who is driving the market. It's been quite enlightening to watch bad ideas take legs and run so far. Frankly, it gives me hope for great success in the market. From the perspective of society, we're pretty much f'd.

I'm not joking when I say, I'd like to learn what I can about the market and the folks driving it, no matter how glamorous.

Must go... time to schedule my third dose of vaccine.

Thats fine, I dont really care who wants the vaccine or not.

The thing I am explaining here is that we are 2yrs in at this point. We have numbers. If you are in the stock market, you know numbers, you look at charts all day long.

We have charts... we have lots of charts.. If you are ignoring the charts and the numbers from COVID then maybe you should not be in the stock market which also uses numbers and charts.

The bottom line is that unvaccinated are dying in larger numbers than vaccinated. End of story.

Getting vaxxed is not going to prevent you from getting COVID anymore, but it will drastically help you survive the ICU if you end up there.

My wife died from taking the vaccine. I feel I should be able to discuss that. While I understand this is a Stocks Forum, this was posted in a Misc./ General forum... It is good to have places where off-topic subjects can be discussed intelligently.

I do not want to get into the whole debate over the data as it can be fudged to show whatever you want it to show. And there just isnt a limited data set available at this time.

My final take is that medical decisions should be between the individual and their doctor. If the person ultimately decides it is in their best interest to NOT take the vaccine, then that should be their choice. I am not in favor of the Federal Government mandating healthcare decisions.

And what is even worse the Federal Gov't is dictating to private businesses that they must enforce this unconstitutional mandate. Forcing people to choose between taking this Pfizer/ Moderna product and feeding ones' family is extremely unethical. No one should ever be forced to make a medical decision on the premise of potentially losing your job and source of income.

This country has gone to shit under the worst President in American history, Joe Biden. and to think Kamala Harris is even worse than he is. SMH

    Let's Go Brandon.
