Takes a licking and keeps on ticking. Not much to do when you're on the winning team. Sit back and enjoy some spiked Gatorade while puffing on a left handed cigarette and checking out the cheerleaders. Boss is out playing with rockets and digging tunnels. Life is good.

Ford is starting to look good again. Poor GM, same old story. Naturally Tesla speaks for itself.

For some reason, people are surprised Tesla is removing cell production equipment from Grunheide and moving it to Auston.

With winter and energy rationing fast approaching, Giga Berlin will be cripled. Giga Berlin will be under severe constraint this winter and will probably have production stoppages, during severe energy shortages.

Meanwhile, in Austin, Tesla is financially incentivized to produce batteries in America.

It seems pretty obvious. I suspect the Grunheide equipment is at least as current as the gear being used in Austin, as the production equipment was built by Tesla Grohmann in Germany so the new stuff is likely to be tested there first.

With Q3 almost in the bag, we should have some new ATH production/delivery numbers within a few days.

The good Ole Tesla earnings play. I say we top 106. Papa Elon has been awfully quiet lately.

Shall we play the production numbers game? I'll start.

    Shanghai Q3 - 255k
    Fremont q3 - 152.5k
    Berlin q3 - 15k
    Texas q3 - 18k

    Total 440k.

On the serious side I'll take some more notes.

This really stands out and speaks volumes>>>Tesla is 1 of only 2 to not need a government bailout in 2008. LONGTERM shareholders have NEVER lost a penny of their investment. In fact most have been very well rewarded for enduring the growing pains and short attacks. Elon Musk has had to fight a battle most warriors would retreat from. This dude wasn't ashamed to cry over his dream and nearly went broke when Einhorn and the others tried to destroy him.
These ain't GEO METROS :D Tesla is not a car company.
This is a conglomerate with a huge and very powerful war chest full of stuff most could never fathom. This list could go on forever.

All that for $ 248.05 bucks a share, I'd be stupid not to OWN a part of that company. That's my speck of sand in the parking lot and I'm proud to own it.

Tom "Bloomberg Terminal" B16 is great to have on board, his due diligence earns respect.

Easy, Spud. I don't deserve all that much credit but I appreciate your generosity.

Meanwhile, back at Tesla, it looks like Tesla is jacking prices on the SuperCharger network in North America and Europe. This is profound. It will generate massive amounts of revenue but it will also potentially reduce the desirability of the SC network.

I believe the network can easily sustain the price increases but time will tell.

Tesla are cutting prices on the cars, as well. It looks like more cuts to come.

Makes sense. Seems all business models eventually lead to loss leader or low margin product with high margin necessities/services. Most people don't look into anything past the initial price.

Although part of me thinks Tesla might go into solar production for their network and keep all the profits for themselves. Seems like a logical growth sector especially in CA.

Delays in the Tesla semi program have kept dual opposed piston diesel technology relevant longer than expected (longer than I expected). Walmart has been running the Achates 3 cylinder, 6 piston, diesel in their fleet for about five months.

This engine is said to provide fuel efficiency improvements, almost too-good-to-be-true emission improvements (particularly with NOx), while reducing CO2 output by 10%.

    https://achatespower.com/achates-walmart-launch-opposed-piston-engine-trial/

This is a major step forward. Electrification is the future but opposed piston could be the present. It looks like this technology will scale down for car and light truck use, also.

I will opine that heavy truck electrification is being driven by Elon and his celebrity. Were it not for Tesla, I don't think heavy truck electrification would gain much traction. The only reason it has much credibility is that Tesla is building out a Mega Charger network and we trust Elon to do what he says he is going to do. ... although, few of us trust his timelines. lol! :D

For what it's worth, I've read several articles on spark ignition efficiency and emission improvements. These ideas are extremely interesting but I also think they are nearly irrelevant.

We can't convert to EV in the near future, even if we wanted to, so ICE improvements are extremely welcome but I do not believe they will change the course of history and conversion to EV.

It's like the horse and car transition. We comparably are in the horse phase. Still have a long journey ahead. Carl Benz much like Elon Musk had the cat in the bag and changed the history of the automotive industry forever.
Henry Ford and Harry Ferguson partnered and introduced the first farm tractor with a hydraulic lift in 1939, that modernized and forever change the farming industry.
Definitely going to be a long journey buts it's here.

Mr. Tom I wasn't offering roses. :lauging:
A special thanks for showing us how to make investing worthwhile is well appreciated and deserved.

There has been mention of Giga Berlin achieving 2000 vehicle per week run rate. That would translate to 24K vehicles in q3, if the run rate were backward looking. Being forward looking, I may have over estimated a bit but I will stick with that number. I have always slightly under-estimated Tesla output so I this may be the same. Hopefully, I am close, though.

Weird price action to open the morning.

Downward pressure from premarket to opening bell. And then six minutes where it looks like trades were generally happening in the $246-247 range, but then buys at $254.40 for over 5 minutes to ? Prop up the price ?

Anybody speculate as to what I was seeing?

Major bank buying in at $7 above the last bid.

    I don’t get it.

Playing a little defense here. Cut Tesla a a TINY gain. Avg was 248.05

I believe we see a slight meltdown that will give me a opportunity to buy back at a lower cost.
Other opportunities are presenting themselves at a nice discount.
Goal is to lower PPS of Tesla and take a smaller longterm position.

    Stay tuned.

This might just work. It's on high alert. A few dollars saved is money in the bag. Always a huge Tesla fan. Just a slight recalibration.

FORD is clawing its way back, a small position that I will add to below 10.00

Yawn, Tesla had a nice pop but is right back where I sold yesterday. FORD has been traded in for the moment.
Earnings 10/19. I'll see how it acts. Would love to see a good pre earnings dump.

Long live Tesla, especially at a discount.

Why pay retail when you can get it wholesale.

    Class dismissed, good day.
