AFC Energy make Fuel Cells, a modular scalable Ammonia Cracker (converts Ammonia into cheap Hydrogen), and a scalable Methanol Reformer (converts Methanol to Hydrogen). They target off-grid power generation for places where the grid is not available (building sites, mines, remote areas) or where the grid cannot provide enough power such as for EV charging hubs or remote fleet hubs. Products are going fully commercial early this year (final builds completed end of 2023, now believed to be with the primary clients for validation), so it's a good chance to get on board before it takes off in my view. They are currently targeting 30kW systems at the UK construction industry Diesel Genset market via a joint venture with Speedy Hire, called Speedy Hydrogen Solutions, which will hire/lease/sell systems to Speedy Hire's large client base of major construction companies. They are targeting a 50kVA system (a 30kW system plus 45kW integrated battery) at the same market, and this is initially going to market with Acciona, the huge Spanish company. The biggest system is the 200kW which has been developed in partnership with ABB, the company that are the lead sponsors of Formula E and Extreme E electric racing series. ABB will sell the 200kW system along with their EV Chargers (they are the biggest OEM for these in the world), for use as Data Centre power, for off-grid power generation as standalone or part of Microgrids, and in the Marine industry, plus more, as they have so many clients that can use these systems in one way or another. AFC also have a distribution deal with TAMGO (The Machinery Group) of Saudi Arabia to distribute all of their systems across the MENA region, TAMGO is part of the huge Zahid Group (26th biggest family owned business in Saudi). The Ammonia Cracker has a lot of global potential which AFC Energy are pursuing. This product offers diversification from the Fuel Cells as it can be used in many industries that consume Hydrogen, such as oil refineries, petrochemical plants, etc. It can also be used with other OEM's Fuel Cells. It can also be used where power generation is moving to co-firing a fuel and Hydrogen in order to reduce CO2 emissions. It can be packaged into a 40 foot container along with AFC Energy's own Fuel Cells as a complete Ammonia power solution (Green Ammonia if preferred). One use for this would be the Zerocoaster project that AFC Energy and it's partner ABB are involved in. From the RNS "AFC Energy has signed its first Letter of Intent with the trading arm of one of Europe's largest energy companies to market the potential for ammonia as a hydrogen carrier fuel to its customers. AFC Energy is currently in dialogue with multiple European project partners, demonstrating the high growth potential of the Company's modular, scalable cracker technology." https://www.investegate.co.uk/annou...c/world-first-ammonia-cracking-pilot-/7918707 Zerocoaster https://www.ammoniaenergy.org/articles/zerocoaster-ammonia-fueled-cargo-shipping/ Video interview with the CEO where more is revealed: AFC Energy unveils "world-first" modular ammonia cracker Products are going fully commercial early this year (final builds completed end of 2023, now with clients for validation), so it's a good chance to get on board before it takes off in my view. Financials are not much use, as up until now the company has been pretty much R&D, but as now going commercial the sales will start appearing. "Why hydrogen generator maker AFC Energy is a top stock, according to analysts" https://www.proactiveinvestors.co.u...-top-stock-according-to-analysts-1038096.html "Lab Design and Construction for AFC Energy’s Hydrogen Fuel Cell Research Facility" Company website https://www.afcenergy.com/ RNS list https://www.investegate.co.uk/company/AFC Listed as AFC.L in London, or you can go via USOTC as AFGYF, or on Tradegate ISIN GB00B18S7B29. Price is 18.54p ASK in London Broker targets are Peel Hunt 125p, Zeus 100p, and Liberium Capital at 85p. These are long term targets, at least a year out. I plan to hold for at least 5 years, by which time I hope this company has become huge globally. Ammonia is going to be a huge part of the Hydrogen Economy, as it is the easiest and cheapest way to transport Hydrogen, so the Ammonia Cracker could be a company maker on it's own as the Hydrogen Economy gears up. Europe, Japan and others are already targeting huge imports of Green Ammonia to generate zero emissions power near term. AFC Energy's official analyst research list: https://www.afcenergy.com/investors/research-feed As of the the last results dated 31 July 2023 the company had enough cash to last around 29 months, which from 30 April 2023 would be to September 2025, a long way off, and with sales of all three system types starting very soon, that is plenty of runway to get to profitability, especially with the big distribution channels they have built already (Speedy Hire, ABB e-Mobility, Acciona and TAMGO), plus the huge potential of the Ammonia Cracker. "Cash and cash equivalents at 30 April 2023 of £32.7m" "The Company finished the year with a cash balance of £32.7m, in line with the expected cash burn for overheads of about £1.1m per month (based on £6.8m over six-months)"

Their approach to off-grid power generation targets a critical gap in the current energy market, especially in remote or energy-intensive areas where traditional grid power is either unavailable or insufficient.
