Tesla sales are down significantly. I wouldn't say the company is in trouble but this is a major sales slump.
It seems to align with him becoming more and more of a public figure. I personally know 2 people who have Teslas that are ashamed they have them now. They almost have to caveat when someone mentions their vehicle even in passing that it was "pre-elon" and you already know what they're talking about. Obviously there's more to it than just that, but I can't imagine shutting out those who care about electric cars (in general) while embracing those that would never buy an electric car (in general) is a poor business move. I don't know how much he cares about that specific business selling to average one-vehicle customers at this point though.
Nah, brah, he's playing 4D chess. He's conquered the liberal wallets, now he wants real Americans to drive electric. With every Cybertruck purchase, you get to DOGE a NOAA employee to their face. Dark MAGA forever!
Apparently, Tesla is selling very strong into China and South Korea. In North America, sales are well down. In Europe, however, sales have fallen off a cliff. I suspect sales will be down, overall, but not as far down as things look in NA and Europe. Meanwhile, there is a significant insider sell-down.
