Looks like a Dot-Com IPO pump and dump that is somehow still around. That 25% fall last week is an enticing trading play for you. Have at it

Remember what thread this is :p

I spent most of 2021 well below my ATH. Two of my companies did very well, the rest fell off a small cliff. You won't find me whining about that.

At the time, I was quite liquid so I started buying back in by mid 2021. It was a bit early and I was nervous because the liquid cash was intended to fund my retirement but I stepped up to the big boy table and started moving money into VOO with no guarantees. It wasn't all up-side, to say the least, but time sorted it out.

I don't understand why long term traders would be concerned about a short term series of ticks. If you liked NVDA at $205, you should love it at $175. Everybody loves a sale. If you believe in your portfolio, emotional composure is easy.

The trick to long term investing is to manage your emotional state. The portfolio will manage itself if you don't pour gas on it and toss a lit match.

    AMEN.

    A Cure for Investment Anxiety

    https://www.safalniveshak.com/cure-for-investment-anxiety/

....."I think of it as an age of “manufactured urgency.” Everything is breaking news. Every data point demands immediate analysis. The market hiccups and someone, somewhere, is ready to explain exactly why and what it means for your portfolio.

For investors, this creates a peculiar kind of hell. You’re supposed to be informed because you are made to believe that gives you some kind of edge against others. But how do you find an edge when everyone has access to the same information at the same time?

The answer, increasingly, seems to be that you don’t play that game at all.".....

Earnings killing it......investors getting killed. Nothing new here.

Cisco stock falls after outlook disappoints, McDonald's edges lower, Vertiv soars

    https://finance.yahoo.com/news/live...nalds-edges-lower-vertiv-soars-214550503.html

Fourth quarter earnings season is more than halfway over, and the S&P 500 is on track for NICE earnings growth.

Analysts estimate a 13% increase in earnings per share for the fourth quarter. This would represent the 10th consecutive quarter of annual earnings growth for the index.....PLUS....the fifth consecutive quarter of double-digit growth.

    AND

CSCO beats estimates.....but of course....SINKS on guidance.

El Paso, Texas airspace closed to ALL air traffic for ten days starting today. The FAA clarifies that the vertical limit of the restriction is 18,000 feet (6 km), meaning that commercial overflight traffic will not be affected if flying above that altitude. There is no memory of anything similar happening in the US since September 11, 2001. “Special security reasons” are cited. The NOTAM that led to this surprising closure warns that “lethal force” may be used in case of non-compliance. Something very unusual is happening in southern Texas.

    @WXYZ

do you know anything about this?

    JOBS REPORT....total fantasy.

Why Are You Still Trading On The Jobs Report?

    https://www.realclearmarkets.com/bl...still_trading_on_the_jobs_report_1164376.html

"The first release of any monthly jobs report is little more than an educated guess, and not a particularly good one."

"......2025 was far worse than we thought. Job creation was revised down by 403,000 for the year, dropping the monthly average from an already weak 50,000 to a nearly recessionary 15,000...."

"Last year's benchmark revision knocked 898,000 jobs off the prior 12-month period. The year before that, 589,000 phantom jobs disappeared."

"Survey response rates at the BLS have fallen from around 60% before the pandemic to below 43% as of last spring. Less than half of surveyed businesses are responding."

    Etc, etc, etc,

    BOTTOM LINE......total FANTASY......and.....total GARBAGE.
