Buy $MSFT Based on analysis of projected 2026 financials, Microsoft is considered the most resilient of the major tech "hyperscalers," with some projections suggesting it may be the only one among top competitors (like Amazon, Alphabet, Meta) expected to grow its free cash flow (FCF) by 5% amid a massive 58% surge in AI-related capital expenditures.
YES....stay calm and be true to your long term investing thesis. What is impacting the markets now and creating volitility will soon be gone.......and replaced with some other NEW short term media fear-mongering topic. Stay Calm Amid the Middle East Storm Stocks don’t run on timetables, and volatility can end as quickly as it starts. https://www.fisherinvestments.com/e...mmentary/stay-calm-amid-the-middle-east-storm "Ultimately, we think patience and time are called for now. Short-term volatility after conflict breaks out is common. But with a little time, we suspect markets will look past excess fears of wider war and worst-case scenarios and start seeing that, economically, the world didn’t change overnight."
YES....basic economics....backed by real world proof. Low Taxes Are Never 'A Problem for the Economy' https://www.realclearmarkets.com/ar..._never_a_problem_for_the_economy_1168232.html "........More seriously, the author must not be aware of the years of economic research and history which show conclusively that higher taxes, not low taxes, are harmful to the economy."......
Some good commentary and analysis here regarding "VALUE INVESTING". Ben Graham Was Wrong And He Would Have Been The First To Admit It https://mojo3324106.substack.com/p/ben-graham-was-wrong
I dont trust ANY jobs data. It is hopelessly distorted and corrupted. BUT....here is the economic news of the day....that no one will care about. ADP: Private employers added 63,000 jobs in February, the best monthly showing since July https://finance.yahoo.com/news/adp-...est-monthly-showing-since-july-132604002.html
I have now settled into....."I dont care"......mode. The day to day short term markets are a WASTELAND. Just a...manipulated....joke. My TOTAL focus is.....as usual....the long term. That is where the little retail investor will find their opportunity to not only make money....but....to also outperform the so called "professionals". YES....i continue to be fully invested for the long term as usual.
DUH. Goldman Strategists Say Buy Any Stocks Dip From Iran and AI https://finance.yahoo.com/news/goldman-sachs-strategists-buy-stock-111747859.html
Nice futures right now.....BUT.....BIG BUT.....futures have a way of becoming irrelevant as soon as the actual markets open. S&P 500 futures tick higher as crude oil trades lower after Iran conflict surge https://www.cnbc.com/2026/03/03/stock-market-today-live-updates.html
Lower mortgage rates......and......they will come. Good news for house hunters and for th ehousing markets. Weekly mortgage demand surged 11% higher last week, as rates sat near 4-year low https://www.cnbc.com/2026/03/04/weekly-mortgage-demand-surged-11percent-higher-last-week.html
As a shareholder I like this little bit of news from AAPL. Apple raises MacBook prices across the board as M5 chips, new displays signal AI-first strategy https://www.cnbc.com/2026/03/03/apple-macbook-prices-m5-ai.html
As we wait for the open...the above....is about all that is going on today. I say......the BULL MARKET is still intact in spite of much short term turmoil. First clue is EARNINGS. They were GREAT once again. In spite of recent stock action......the big successful companies continue to DOMINATE and pile up cash. Second and third clues.....earnings and earnings......BUSINESS is BOOMING. AND in reality that is the point of stocks and investing....BUSINESS. Unfortunately too often investors, the media morons, and all the other opinion writers......FORGET....that owning a stock is about owning a little chunk of a business.
PLTR up by 12% over the last five days. A pretty impressive bounce-back....over such a short time period. I start today with a nice gain. BUT I am talking about only....EIGHT MINUTES....of the market being open. TOTALLY MEANINGLESS. I think we are now at the START to the long climb back for the big tech stocks. The recent losses were TOTALLY unjustified. Not just an over-reaction.....but.....simply based on nothing but fear itself....along with amplification by the fear-mongers. Many people took advantage of the past weeks to add big name DOMINANT stocks to their portfolio.....or....to add to existing holdings. That is the GUTS of long term investing....buy when the IDIOCY is clear and massive.
Some good considerations here: What's a safe haven, and should you invest in one? https://finance.yahoo.com/personal-...n-and-should-you-invest-in-one-194545990.html "Safe-haven assets can certainly help mitigate the risk that geopolitical events pose to the market, but they are not risk-free. It’s also important to consider how investing in a lower-risk safe-haven asset could potentially yield lower returns. For some investors, trading higher yields for stability is worth it, but this depends on your risk tolerance, investment goals, and strategy." MY COMMENT I have no data to back this up.....but.....I think that too many people have short term money in the markets. Short term money being...money that you are going to need some time over the next....12-24 months. For some people....depending on what the money will be needed for....36 months. It is mostly a matter of DISCIPLINE....avoiding the temptation and slippery slope....of putting shorter and shorter term money into risk assets.....stocks and funds.
Looking good in the neighborhood today. I have....seven of seven.... stocks GREEN and a big gain going so far. Have we turned a corner on the AI disruption BS? Perhaps the Iran situation give us a break from that AI story-line....and knocked some sense into the markets.
YES....hopefully. We seem to have broken free from the AI disruption and other negative AI story-lines. I had a nice big gain today. AND....a good beat on the SP500 by 0.46%. I missed the whole day today......a good thing.
I like this little article.....but....one omission....BIG EARNINGS......and.....fundamentally CHEAP prices. Here are 6 reasons why stocks may shake off Iran fears and move higher in March Seasonality, options-market positioning and a handful of other factors bode well for stocks, according to Citadel strategist https://www.marketwatch.com/story/h...s-and-move-higher-in-march-5516c160?st=hd9dVP
