The RALLY continues....with a nice open today. BUT....it is a long day till the close. Over the last 4-5 weeks we have seen TECH in a massive BOOM. One thing that is changed is the absence of the constant MEDIA garbage articles pushing AI NEGATIVITY. NOT that the media is doing something right.....they would be STILL pushing this BS if the clicks were there. But now...people dont care for this garbage and are NOT clicking on it. HISTORIC earnings....have captured the public attention.

Way to go.....LORI. "ME TOO"......I am hitting a new all time high nearly every day. NVDA is on fire right now. AND.....I am also NOT going to sell any of this stock. I see them as a long term hold with a HUGE runway ahead of them for the next 10-15 years. AND.....I always try to.....LET WINNERS RUN.
LORI. I dont know if you are there yet......at an account balance of....$100,000. (no..... I am not asking what your balance is...LOL) That is the most difficult of all the MILESTONES to reach. It seems like it takes forever. I would say for many people...... probably about 10 years....or more. BUT....once you hit that first milestone....the power of compounding really takes off. I used to hear a money manager on the radio...Bob Brinker. His favorite term was CRITICAL MASS. Plugging away and getting to the first......$100,000....is the first point that I would describe as....CRITICAL MASS. At that point a nice year with a 15% or 20% gain is...BIG MONEY. AND when you get to that point the time it takes to reach the next $100,000....is EXTREMELY short....often just 4-5 years. It is absolutely....AMAZING....how money can SNOWBALL once you get to that first $100,000. AND....everyone gets there....it is just a question of plugging away and not losing focus.
I just looked at one of my kids accounts which I manage. It has a BIG gain today from only three stocks....PLTR, MSFT, and NVDA. I want to see AAPL added to the green list above....they are close. So....I assume that I also have a big gain happening so far today. Time for me to take a posting break...I am too busy... RIDING THE WAVE.
I am nowhere near that, W. Having said that, I have hit a number today that, a few years ago, I would never have thought possible. I come from a hard-working but poor family. My family has always lived pay cheque to pay cheque. Building wealth has never really been an option. I’m hoping to change that. I’m hoping things will be different for my daughter and future generations. And it is in large part thanks to you!
YOU....will do it..... LORI. Your daughter and grandchildren will benefit greatly from what you are doing right now....and will do over the rest of your life. The GREATEST benefit will not be the money...it will be what you teach them about investing and handling money and money habits. The knowledge that you now have....can never be taken away from you. You have been....AWAKENED. I appreciate the compliments....but it is YOU that has done the hard work. YOU went out and got the knowledge and took the first step. NO ONE.....can stop you now. Over your life there will still be many BEAR MARKETS and probably some money challenges. BUT....once someone has the knowledge that you have now...there are no limits. The key as you are seeing.... is to have LONG TERM FOCUS.....and to believe in the POWER of long term investing. Dont believe or trust all the doubters and fear-mongers that will be all around you. Simply...BELIEVE IN YOURSELF.

Here is the USA we live in a country where...."OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL"....has always been touted....even though it has sometimes not been very true for some people...in our society. I imagine there in England society is more STRATIFIED than it is here..... with the class system that is inherent in your culture. Although.... I am sure that is slowly changing....somewhat. Those limitations....imposed by society.....are real...... but at the same time ILLUSORY. People like you are a very good example that you dont have to accept societal limitations. You can break free and buck the norms that society tries to impose on you. It is all about taking control of your life and......REFUSING....to accept the limitations that culture in general tries to pin on you. There will always be a huge crowd telling people like you...."you cant do that". WELL....you now know that you can and you have.
Yeah. When you see all of the "bigwigs" that made the trip to China on this little venture...it tells us pretty much what we already knew. The big CEO's love that market and money share that China provides. They will never divest from it and will probably do just about anything to keep it.
That article read more like an advertisement for GOLD, SILVER, and HYSA's , than an actual strategy, he sold everything ? So, in the past 30 day's he missed out on at least 10% in growth (I went up 14% in the last 30 days) . Doesn't sound like a recipe for growing wealth to me !!
Lori, I commend you, we all started out scrimping and saving to invest a little more in the MARKET, and little by little it start's to snowball, Just like WXYZ has said, and continues to reiterate. REACH for that milestone.....and just watch what starts to happen. And as WXYZ pointed out , the real gift, is the knowledge you now have, and will acquire along the road. And your ability to pass that along to your children. My daughters are 23, 26 and 28 years old, they have been exposed to the stock market for about 10-15 years each now. One recently came to me and said that her BOYFRIEND asked for stock/ investment advice from her. WOW , and he's a real ROCKET SCIENTIST, No a real one , he work's for SPACEX and asked her about how he should diversify his account (right now 100% SPACEX stock) ........... THX WXYZ, and the rest of you knuckleheads on this forum
^ | grats on surpassing 20K posts here at the forum today, W. that is a pretty impressive milestone i must say. thank you for all that you do at this community and have done for the many years now, your efforts never go unnoticed! i know i sound like a broken record sometimes saying this, but it seriously never ceases to amaze me the amount of time and effort that you've put into this thread over the years. i've been with this community dating back to 2006 (20 years!) when it was formerly called "HSM" (hotstockmarket), and i can say without a shadow of doubt that you are absolutely the greatest posting legend this community has ever seen. we used to have a member back in the old HSM days that went by the handle "bigbull" who also put up some great content. but, it really does not even come close to the level of dedication you put in here. i really don't know how you do it on a daily basis. and you hardly have ever taken posting breaks over these many years. the consistency and the efforts to write out thoughts etc. is what amazes me the most. never seen anyone quite like you during my 20 years at this community. and frankly i don't think i'll ever come across someone like you. it's your dedication to keeping this thread going what keeps members coming back here and engaging. you are a true content creator. cheers to many more years of you doing this! this forum would absolutely be toast if it were not for you keeping this thread going. i kid you not, aside from this thread the only other threads that see posting action are purely SPAM. this is the only one that actually has real market content and insights. incredible stuff W. congrats again on 20K posts here and cheers to you my man!

ANOTHER.....BIG gain day for me in my stocks today. Driven by....NVDA, COST, MSFT, and PLTR. What a week it has been so far. I also beat the SP500 with my stocks today by.....1.10%.
