Good morning all. I've been a casual player for a while now, buying for the long and keeping my risk to a minimum. I've recently become more independent and would like to become more involved and dedicated to the markets. I live on the west coast of Canada so the days are early on both ends. So my question is. I'm looking for a great overview of market movers at the bell. What does everyone use? and What kind of process do you take in the morning to make sure you're on top of the movers.

    Cheers!

@NaiMoe - sorry I was out for most of the day here and just now seeing your thread.

Firstly, let me just say welcome to the forums! Nice to have you.

Secondly - when you say you're "looking for a great movers at the bell" do you mean like a stock scanner of sorts?

Personally, I use my trading platform ToS (ThinkorSwim) and Finviz to scan for stock movers. I used to use another service called Scanz which was pretty awesome as well. Others here may use different services (free & paid) and perhaps they can chime in here to list a few of those for you as well. But those are just a couple that I use or have used personally.

Also, I'm not sure if you have ever got the chance to check out my daily morning market movers threads in the mornings here ... although these are not exactly the greatest sources of market movers but I do try my best to put in things that are relevant and moving and are being discussed the most pre-market.

Here is an example of my morning movers thread from this morning-
I know it's a bit overwhelming at first lol. And truth be told here these do take a good chunk of my time in the mornings to put together. But, my feeling has always been that if I'm going to be putting out content in here, it's got to be kind of over the top.

Anyway, you can find those morning movers threads right on the front page of Stockaholics. It's the 2nd featured content down and it's there every morning and stays there throughout the day.

Not sure if that was helpful, but just thought to put that in here.

Hope to see you around here more and again welcome!

Thanks, I plan on being around some more. Just trying to accumulate as much as possible and start a formula that works for me. We'll see how much I'm actually able to contribute but I guess you gotta start somewhere.
