Interesting article. Thanks for posting it.

Please keep in mind, I'm a traditional, long term, investor, but I wish to point out they don't mention investment horizon or value analysis beyond P/E ratio. These two items are one and two on my list.

Good STUFF in that article and the addition by TomB16. The PROBLEM for most people when you look at an article like that is that it looks and sounds so SIMPLE. Well.......actually it is simple if you can avoid the human bias to muddy up everything with complexity. Investing is nothing more than doing the same basic research and look at a business and doing it over and over and over. Jack Bogle was the master of this approach in his many logical and, yes simple, investing "rules".

    RIP Jack Bogle.
    He made investing ... "democracy".
The Little Book of Common Sense Investing is a must read for everyone who wants to learn about how markets work.

I usually take my advice from the trader in my favorite stock trading chatroom. Have made a decent return so far

    CYNDI......are you being sarcastic?

If not.........number one trading, number two taking advice from someone in an internet chat room and trading on that info......VERY DANGEROUS for your finances.

Curious what you consider a decent return. I am interested in ALL THINGS investing and would be interested to see figures on your trades......not personal details.....but generic details like your return after all expenses. Thanks, I hope you continue to participate in this forum and good investing/trading to you.
