Yeah TSLA is all over the place recently. On one hand you have newspapers that are trying to put out negative stories on the cars, and yet the stock is holding up OK. But on the other hand Musk himself is making bad news by getting into Twitter beef, and then deleting the tweet but nothing is deleted on the internet.
He should take a lesson from our President and double down! You dont back off this kind of tweet war!
Netflix shares tank after subscriber numbers miss targets https://finance.yahoo.com/news/netflix-subscriber-growth-misses-estimates-200809816.html Netflix added 670,000 subscribers in the United States, well below analysts' estimates of 1.19 million, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S. Netflix signed up 4.47 million subscribers internationally, while analysts were expecting 4.97 million. Wow a pretty big miss The stock is priced for perfection so not surprising to see it getting punished now
Just found out that both @bigbear0083 and @StockJock-e have the same avatar now, I guess I will have to look at their user names from now on to see who is posting
I couldn't believe my eyes, when StockJock-e replied to me without any exclamation marks. I think you're right, will need to look at user names.
ROKU looking strong, DIS was up a lot for a Dow stock...in the wake of NFLX missing subscriber estimates. Not sure if people are just doubling/tripling up on one subscription with the price hikes.
Im a little behind the times... Just got a trial subscription to Netflix the other day.... Stranger Things was pretty cool, but it seemed to be drowing in an ocean of cheesy, low budget movies that no one has ever heard of Looked at Roku in comparison.. I can actually find stuff worth watching on there..... Maybe its just me, but i can't figure out why anyone would prefer Netflix
Nice bounce for NFLX off the lows SPX is just a little bit over 2% away from a new ATH, we have a good chance to see a new ATH soon if the earnings season isn’t a disaster
haha, not just you! i actually had a brief moment yesterday when i reading through the latest forum posts, and for a second i was confused as to why i was showing up on threads that i hadn't even posted in. then, of course i realized it was @StockJock-e's post albeit, our avatars are slightly different with mine having the site name above the logo, but even so it can still get kind of mixed up at first new summer schedule. i workout first thing in the morning's now. i get super lazy when i hold off my workout for the afternoon/evening so just doing them in the early AM.
Thanks for pointing out the difference in the logo Cy, I think I can identify you guys now when I get lazy and not looking at the user names
QQQ new ATH, meanwhile Dow Transports not bouncing from the 200 ma and in danger of falling below it.
Seems like CSX and UAL did well after hours after reporting earnings, let's see if the transports will do well tomorrow
its all good, i had a very small position sizing anyways. IQ, TWLO, and NTNX more than made up for the small loss.
U.S. housing starts hit nine-month low; permits drop https://www.reuters.com/article/us-...Business+News)&utm_content=Google+Feedfetcher Housing starts tumbled 12.3 percent to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1.173 million units last month, the lowest level since September 2017, the Commerce Department said. The percent drop was the largest since November 2016 and both single and multi-family home construction declined in June. Well a big miss. Right now it seems like the market thinks it probably is one off rather than a trend though. Anyway homebuilders stocks are down today
