SONO: The giant slayer To be honest, I just heard of this company today. It caught my attention right away as it made it to the top 25 stocks with the most traded volume, and the stock price went from 34 to 40 in just three days. Are you looking for some long term stable relationship or some casual ones? Here’s the deal. ---Promise or Non-sense?--- SONO kicked Google’s ass in a lawsuit Sonos, a company manufactures and sells multi-room speaker systems, sued Google for stealing tech of their speaker systems, and announced the victory of the lawsuit yesterday. Though the final fine isn’t confirmed yet, this typically ends up in $$$$, A LOT of $$$. Unlike this giant company, Sono is like a no-name-hero at this point. Even though it has businesses in America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia Pacific, they are just recognized until this moment. - Sales are surging faster than “influencers” on Instagram SONO sales are growing strong and stable every year as people are getting used to enjoying stay-at-home situation. If you’re going to get stoned at home, you’ll probably need some good music to go with the vibe. In this case, Sonos makes you hear sounds in every corner in your house without you getting stoned. As competitors like Google got weakened by the lawsuit, there’s still room for growth potential. - My thoughts Genius’ investments can always be nonsense but polished. So, what’s the bee’s knees here? Short term wise, I’m expecting more room to grow in the next few days while more people are just noticing SONO. Long term wise, as competitive as the speaker system market is, I’m expecting its growth will ease up in the next 2 years. This is totally a fun type of girlfriend but absolutely not a wife material for my taste.
