Uh oh. Might soon be time to dust off those "Average breadth & depth & length of Bear Market" charts and tables...
finally seeing the VIX perk up a bit here as @Three Eyes mentioned earlier ... but still nothing that makes you go "whoa!" (or at least not yet). kinda like to see a complete washout of a day, like we had on feb. 5th of this year ... maybe it's just me(?) but this all still feels "orderly" to me. anyone else?
Yes! This is steady-as-she-goes selling. Maybe positions being unwound to salvage year-end performance numbers? We need that VIX blowout to signal some sort of exhaustion and reversal!
I just had a vertigo attack so won’t be watching the market rest of the day. Just resting on the bed now. Happy trading to all of you though
Vix up, but not quite there, RSI down but not quite there, still too orderly imo. I think we see 2425 tomorrow.
Yeah, really was hoping we'd get a nice long wick on the VIX today. Maybe it was enough? I'm leaning down again tomorrow, too. At least early on in the day.
i think the fact that its been orderly is the scary part, like it feels like it can just keep going lower and lower forever just like a true bear market.
I think the close below 2488 was a blow to the bulls. Unless we get some news to gap the markets in the pre market we close lower tomorrow imo. Best case scenario, we open flat and drift down again, break 2425 and flush hard. - then we can get long.
I averaged in at around 2465 today. I couldn't enter at the 2441 level because of a dentist appointment. It's interesting how these appointments can throw a person off. At any rate, I'm set for Santa, if Santa shows up this year. This collapse to the 2441 level is, simply, insane. From the 2940 level.
Good Friday morning to all! Here is the pre-market thread for those of you wanting to get a quick read before today's open- <-- click there to read! Hope everyone has a great trading day on this final trading day of the week.
Thanks guys I am better today. Unfortunately the vertigo attacks me once in awhile, but I am fine today
Utilities up over 1% today. Defensive sectors like staples and real estates are up today. Tech stocks are getting hammered though
