Hello everyone! My class to doing a simulation on Marketwatch.com, which will last for 80 days or less. So I was wondering, in order to have the best chance of succeeding in the simulation, what are the best short term investments to make in the game over the holidays and into 2018? I currently have 38k to invest in the simulation. (I know this isn't like real money investing, but eh, I want to win the simulation and maybe gain some good info in the process! Thank you!)
Sounds like you need to swing for the fences! These simulations are kinda pointless because you are not going to learn how to invest. The winners are always people that go all in on some big mover and switch out at the right time. Can you short bitcoin futures?
^^ yep ditto that exactly those competitions/simulations are pretty worthless if you're trying to learn the ropes of investing, you won't gain much out of it. i'm not a big fan of that marketwatch.com game either ... tried it one time a few months back and found it to be pretty stupid ... it's nothing like a real world trading environment like some advertise it to be lol
