C3 Metals (TSXV:CCCM) is drilling an exciting copper-gold license in elephant country Peru, 35km in-between Las Bambas (1.2bT @ 0.61%) & Constancia 534mT @ 0.31%) - truly the land of the copper giants.

There has been some historical drilling which resulted in thick, high-grade intersections and now CCCM have consolidated all the prospective copper land claims in a single, continuous stretch spanning 3km. They have completed 10,000m of diamond drilling with quite a few lines reported whilst the latter lines are awaited. The 4th, and most recent, results continue the high-grade intersections are as follows (from 29/09/21):

    • Copper-gold mineralization intersected over broad intervals on section JAS2750 includes:
    JAS2750-05o 229.45m @ 0.99% Cu and 0.43 g/t Au from surface including 23.44m @ 1.98% Cu and 0.96 g/t Au from 69.2m including 80.0m @ 1.89% Cu and 0.78 g/t Au from 130.4m
    JAS2750-04o 123.15m @ 1.28% Cu and 0.50 g/t Au from 66.1mJAS2750-06o 104.0m @ 0.90% Cu and 0.32 g/t Au from surfaceo 12.6m @ 1.57% Cu and 0.29 g/t Au from 121.3
    JAS2750-07o 106.1m @ 0.99% Cu and 0.28 g/t Au from surfaceo 25.65m @ 1.23 % Cu and 0.03 g/t Au from 122.3m
    • Additional high-sulphidation feeder structures intersected in JAS2750-03. Better assays include:
    JAS2750-03o 5.3m @ 0.56g/t Au, 2.91% Cu and 16.26g/t Ag from 101.3m
    • Multiple porphyry vectors point to a causative intrusive source that is potentially central to the mineralization at Cresta Verde and Montaña de Cobre
    • Assay results are pending for a further 10 drill holes
    • Drilling is ongoing at the Cresta Verde Zone on section line JAS4050

The drilling of line JAS4350 is over 1.5km from the initial drills showing huge continuity and has intersected 300m of mineralization including 70m of massive sulphides (awaiting assay results).

They've also ordered a rig capable of drilling 1,500m holes in order to test for what they believe is the porphyry underneath. Recent magnetics & chargeability surveys have identified massive anomalies and lead geologist Steve Hughes compares them to Grasberg (where he used to work).

Recently completed a private placement that was oversubscribed and subsequently increased to $18m with C$3m over-allotment for C$21m @ 19c (with NO warrants). This will give them around C$25m to drill so I expect a big campaign moving forward with the deeper drilling rig expected in December.

One of the most exciting copper projects I have seen in one of the biggest copper producing regions, not just in Peru but globally. On the shallow (<300m) skarn/oxide deposit they've discovered so far, they're grossly undervalued. If the find the porphyry, then all bets are off.

Could this be the next Solaris or Filo?
