-3% here, coming down to some trenline support. FB has been on a nice solid uptrend for the past two months, so close to taking out feb highs until today!
Zuckerberg attacks Trump in speech about Facebook's future Mark Zuckerberg gave an impassioned opening speech at Facebook's F8 developer conference keynote Tuesday, lambasting Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and his supporters for fostering a culture of fear in the U.S. Though he did not name Trump directly, Zuckerberg referenced the candidate's position on immigration and the infamous call to build a wall between the U.S. and Mexico. The Facebook CEO says fighting against this mentality is an integral part of his company's 10-year roadmap. As I look around and I travel around the world, I'm starting to see people and nations turning inward, against this idea of a connected world and a global community. I hear fearful voices calling for building walls and distancing people they label as others. For blocking free expression, for slowing immigration, reducing trade, and in some cases around the world even cutting access to the internet. "It takes courage to choose hope over fear," Zuckerberg said. "People will always call you naive but it’s this hope and this optimism thats behind every important step forward." Watching the FANG stocks on this market bounce. Is this a rally to sell into, or is this downtrend here ready to get take out?
Hard to argue with Zuckerberg here. If the US becomes reserved and self-isolated then we're in for some grim times.
Was that the topic of his speech? Hey, if we like listening to billionaires, then Zuck has trumped Trump! Zuckerberg 2020!
Well, it was his F8 opening speach and it wasn't completely focused on this topic but rather on FB's future, but it was one of the questions he touched upon. I already imagine this: next presidential elections... Democratic candidate Mark Zuckerberg in a clash against Republican candidate Kanye West. What a time to be alive.
Soon all it will take is who ever has the biggest instagram following can become president. Its heading that way! I feel mainstream media may start losing its grip on deciding who wins. Millenials will sooner check snapchat and insta for their news and opinions rather than watching O'Reilly Factor!
Need that 104 level to hold on this pullback. 8 weeks up and still no new high on this weekly however.. interesting
Another solid quarter for FB. Beat on both top and bottom lines. Also increase in daily users... Up 6% currently. They are on a roll even when all others including Twitter and Google are not doing so good.
