This verizon / frontier switch has been a disaster. Bill has gone up & my on demand channels are 1/2 of what they were. Google fiber needs to hurry it up!!
Reported before open yesterday (5/3/16) Earnings: EPS $0.01 Revenue $1.355B Estimates: EPS -$0.09 Revenue $1.351B Down 4.04% yesterday
Nice pop on FTR as most of the telecom sector is flat. I was considering buy this earlier in the week
Got this on watch, short interest is huge. If they don't do a R/S and suspend the div it could be one heck of a squeeze. Earnings will tell it all.
Primary trend still the same. May rebound for some weeks, but needs some consolidation period first, where typical acumulation will happen. Its on the watchlist also but too soon for jumping on conclusions, I think.
Sold off pretty hard, along with several others. My guess is the growing tensions between Korea, China,Russia is spooking investors enough to liquidate some positions. Most have had a huge run since the last quarter of 2016. Been reading up quite a bit on this one, as a contrarion I like it, as a trader I will see how it's played out tomorrow. This one has a lot going for it, the recent downgrade by Goldman Sachs is a major red flag, however the dividend is mighty steep. Short interest is high and a good squeeze could make it scream.
Shares of Frontier Communications ($FTR) may come under pressure after the communications services provider reported a wider than expected first quarter loss and cut its quarterly dividend.
They should sell their landlines to recycle company. The copper's worth more than the service. Not a joke.
I positioned nicely for this movement -have a sweet dividend to play with -a simple balance point in reach -no pain no gain –neutral
