    Gogo Inc. (GOGO) is a provider of in-flight broadband Internet service and other connectivity services for commercial and business aircraft, headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. 12 airlines partner with Gogo to provide in-flight WiFi, including Aeromexico, American Airlines, Air Canada, AirTran Airways, Alaska Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Japan Airlines, United Airlines, US Airways, Vietnam Airlines, Virgin America and Virgin Atlantic. Gogo Inc. is a holding company, operating through its two subsidiaries, Gogo LLC and Aircell Business Aviation Services LLC. According to Gogo, over 2,100 commercial aircraft and 6,600 business aircraft have been equipped with its onboard Wi-Fi services. The company is also the developer of 2Ku, the new in-flight (satellite solution) Wi-Fi technology.

    American Airlines Finds a New WiFi Provider
    Shares of inflight connectivity provider Gogo(NASDAQ: GOGO) were down meaningfully Friday after a competitor disclosed that it won an important contract with American Airlines Group(NASDAQ: AAL). That competitor, ViaSat(NASDAQ: VSAT) has been awarded the job of outfitting the carrier's 737 MAX fleet with WiFi service.

    Investors bet Gogo will fly higher
    Gogo has soared in recent months, and traders are looking for even more gains by early next year.

    optionMONSTER's monitoring system detected the purchase of about 4,500 January 12 calls mostly for $0.90 to $1.08 yesterday. Open interest in the strike was just 193 contracts before the trades appeared, indicating that these are new positions.
