how do you determine the demand of a stock? the price of a stock is of course determined by supply and demand. to determine demand, i think about a company's performance: present and future. i also consider things like product announcements and releases... if i feel that a certain product will make a company more profitable, i may invest in that company. how do you determine demand? thanks! -overshare
You need to understand Fundamental analysis. This is going to be the beginning of a long journey. This is probably a good start here by learning about PE ratios: http://stockaholics.net/threads/intro-to-pe-price-to-earnings-ratio.678/
Welcome to the forum. This place is kind of like a school. You come here you read. Yes homework. Figure out what investing style is going to work for you, then look at the criteria it takes for a stock to fit that style of investing. Then screen for stocks that qualify. Then more fundamental analysis of the stock. Then use a paper trade platform to practice buying and selling. Once you get that down we'll have a graduation ceremony for you It's all here for you: Elementary School: http://stockaholics.net/forums/educational-videos-and-material.20/ High School: http://stockaholics.net/forums/investing.21/
