JACK is one of thew few restaurant stocks to actually buck the trend with the broader markets. JACK has one of the more generous share buyback programs out of any company out there. Back in September 2015, the company announced a $200M share repurchase program commencing in fiscal year 2016 and expiring in November 2017, and a 50% increase in its dividend. During fiscal year 2015, the company repurchased approximately 3,7M shares at an average price of $84.71 per share. You better bet if the company is deploying so much of its cash to its share re-purchase program at such a high price, the stock is likely to trade higher long term.
