It also provides broadband Internet access services and other Internet-related services comprising including Internet protocol television (IPTV) services; data communications services consisting of leased line service and broadband Internet connection service to institutional customers; and credit card processing and other financial services, as well as sells mobile handsets. In addition, the company offers information technology and network services, such as consulting, designing, building and maintaining systems, and communication networks services; satellite TV services; and network services, such as cloud computing services. Further, it is involved in planning and development of commercial and office buildings and condominiums, as well as leasing of buildings; and development of media contents. As of December 31, 2015, it served approximately 18,038,000 mobile subscribers; and approximately 6.6 million IPTV subscribers. The company was formerly known as Korea Telecom Corp. and changed its name to KT Corporation in March 2002. KT Corporation was founded in 1981 and is headquartered in Seongnam, South Korea.
