I own a number of large cap dividend paying stocks including MCD, MO, KO, MRK, PFE, PFE, UL, KMB, VZ, T, and D that have not participated in the recent rally. Any ideas? Think it's due to an expected rise in interest rates?

Value plays will have their day.

As soon as TSLA and all the big movers stops running, hot money will look for places to hide.

Investors and traders often try to anticipate the next stage of the economic cycle so they move money from one industry to another. This is called sector rotation and it may be what you are observing.

There is a value rotation that happens at some point.

The slow and boring stocks will have their time to shine soon, but not just yet.

Growth stocks are not done with their rally.
