    Good Morning,

I am new to stocks and am having some confusion as to why my limit orders are not being filled. For example I see 10000 ask size and a ask price of .047 a share. I put in a buy limit request at .047 a share for 10000 shares and it just sits open. I have even tried putting in a but limit at a little over the ask price and it still sits open.

I have read that you should do market if you are sure you want the request filled but I worry that if I do at market i might get some shares at .047 and all of a sudden the rest of the shares would fill at some rediculous price, say .50.

Also how can a stock have a negative bid ask spread?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
