Does it make sense to buy shares at a certain price and then sell those shares in full at higher price for a profit. And then use all of that original money and profit to get back in the same stock at a price that is lower than what I took profits at BUT HIGHER than what I originally bought at?

for example buying shares at 5$, selling those for 10$ and then using all of that money from the sale to get back in the stock at a price between 5.01 and 9.99?

    Yes, that is called trading.

But I think you are asking if its worth the risk because if you are wrong, then you lose it your profits.

If you are playing it safe, then you would not go "all in" and keep some money safe.

Ok thanks for the response. I was questioning myself after posting on social media that I sold for a profit then got back in during a slight dip. The re entry price was higher than what I got in originally at but lower than what I sold at. I had a couple guys comment who have more experience than I do and ask what the point of doing that was

It's taking a profit. That's the point. You take your profit out.

You have to time the market correctly. I couldn't do it. I have tried.

Are you using all of your money, 1 stock at a time?

Wouldn’t this work well buying into seasonal companies!

I'm not comfortable with doing that. But it's just my own level of risk tolerance. I like to spread money out farther. Sprinkle it around.
