    RPM International Inc (RPM) is an American multinational company with subsidiaries that manufacture and market high-performance specialty coatings, sealants and building materials. Industrial brands include Stonhard, Tremco, illbruck, Carboline, Flowcrete, Universal Sealants, Euco, Day-Glo and Dryvit. RPM's consumer products are used by professionals and do-it-yourselfers for home maintenance and improvement and by hobbyists. Consumer brands include Zinsser, Rust-Oleum, DAP, Varathane and Testors.

    The company has approximately 13,000 employees worldwide who work in 116 manufacturing facilities in 26 countries. Its products are sold in 170 countries and territories. It is the sixth largest paint and coating company in the world.

    RPM is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol RPM. Its shares are owned by more than 500 institutions and 108,000 individual investors. It ranks among the top 200 in total shares held by BetterInvesting investment clubs. RPM has increased its cash dividend paid to stockholders for 41 consecutive years. Only 45 other companies, besides RPM, have consecutively paid an increasing annual dividend for this period of time or longer, according to the spring 2015 edition of the Mergent Handbook of Dividend Achievers.

    Over the ten-year period from May 31, 2005, to 2015, RPM has outperformed the S&P 500 by 86 percent in total return generated for its shareholders, which includes both capital appreciation and reinvestment of dividends.

    RPM International meets 3Q profit forecasts

    MEDINA, Ohio (AP) _ RPM International Inc. (RPM) on Wednesday reported fiscal third-quarter net income of $18.6 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

    On a per-share basis, the Medina, Ohio-based company said it had net income of 14 cents.

    The results matched Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 14 cents per share.

    The specialty chemicals company posted revenue of $988.6 million in the period, topping Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $980.8 million.

    RPM International expects full-year earnings to be $2.50 per share.

    RPM International shares have risen roughly 9 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen slightly in the last 12 months.
