I don't understand what I'm looking at with the short volume graph. I searched for an instruction guide, but no luck finding that. Are any of you folks familiar with this type of information? How useful is this information? Short Volume Indicator: https://volumebot.com/?s=rubi
It shows the percentage of shares traded via short selling. In your example it’s quite high. It varies from day to day, which is logical. To me this indicates that I need to pay close attention to the underlying stock. I will look for pressure to the long side. If that happens I take a position and wait for shorts covering their position fueling a large up move. Sell into that strength. On a side note, I would not trade based on this indicator alone. But it could provide you some extra information on the stock that you were already watching.
