Does anyone know of a site where I can setup a text alert for is a stock or index moves a certain percentage it will shoot me a text (for free). I have found multiple sites that will provide an e-mail, but I need a text. Thanks!
Maybe your brokerage already does this? I know TD Ameritrade does. Otherwise, there's this, although I've never tried it.
TD Ameritrade/Think Or Swim. The alerts and their stock screener are the main reason why I still have an account. I don't really trade that account anymore and don't keep a lot of money in the account. There is no minimum to open an account so as long as you are funded, you should have access to their tools.
If nothing has changed, you can open a TD Ameritrade account and not even fund it, then use the ToS software for paper trading. You can set alerts with it without even funding an account.
