i'm going to try to temporarily run this formula from iex-

    PHP:
    =IMPORTDATA("https://api.iextrading.com/1.0/stock/"&A1&"/price")
if i recall, this one doesn't automatically update prices while the spreadsheet is left open like the google finance data feed does. but, it should update prices on a page refresh at the very least. we'll shall see. haven't tested this one in a while. better than nothing i guess...

ok, well i just took the time to manually input all of the opening prices. i'm using data feed from iex.

no idea how updated these prices are, but it seems to update on a "page refresh" but does not update when you just leave your browser left open.

sorry for the issues this morning, but this is actually not my fault :p

hah, well it's only "working" because i switched the data feed to iex on the weekly as well :p

it does not seem to be updating very well though...it's very delayed.

    ah well...

chalk this one up to google finance messing things up for us...

right on the last friggin' trading day of the month too.........

well, i haven't actually had the time to check up on the google sheet today, but i'm curious to know for anyone who has been checking in on it, does it still auto update while the spreadsheet is left open? or does it require a "page refresh"?

i sure hope this is fixed come monday because these contests rely heavily on the data feed.

when the feed goes down, the contests are basically out of commission.

admittedly, it was a big pain in the rear to go in and manually input prices into the google sheet this morning just to get today's spreadsheet somewhat functioning with another data feed...

looks like the live data feed from Google Finance has just come back online this afternoon! :D

going to switch the data feeds back in the spreadsheets so we have a bit more real-time pricing as we head into the close. :p
