Stockaholics Weekly T/A Charting Challenge Rules & Guidelines:

1.) Participants will take turns each week to post up a chart.

2.) Participants (including the chart picker) will need to then vote on the direction of the chart for the week (starting points from Friday's close), and will have up until 9:30am eastern time on the first trading day of the week. There will be a new poll up for each new week. Members who correctly predict the direction (Up or Down) of the chart by week's end will receive 10 points in the members leaderboard for that week.

3.) Members who also provide some rationale for their direction vote (this can be brief) will be awarded another 2 points in the members leaderboard.

4.) Members who simply "participate" in the challenge will receive 1 point for the week.

Remember...the chart direction poll closes at the opening bell on the first trading day of the new week! So try to get those votes in ASAP!

So, w/o getting into further ado have at it with the T/A on this week's charting challenge!

(Chart to be posted in here sometime after the market closes on Friday.)

I think it wants to fill the second gap created between 2.01 and 2.65, and volume on Friday indicated others imminently thinking the same so voting...

    UP

I've got the VAL is 2.10 on a 5-minute chart since Feb 14. That got rejected on Friday, didn't get 2 candles in there. So I'll vote down for this week.

Well now, this is a challenge. Not only was this thinly traded to begin with, but now after the recent FDA announcement there has been a major structural disruption. More than 1/2 of the float was traded between the announcement and the low which precipitated a nearly 84% drop in price. Undoubtedly, not only did the rats abandon ship but so did the passengers and crew. Reading the chart now is the same as reading the chart of a six-day-old stock. Challenging to say the least.

I was thinking @Three Eyes had the right idea when what I thought he was saying early on was that the dead cat bounce has already completed. Then he voted up. Either I got his message wrong or he changed his mind. Nevertheless, that's what I'm thinking, that that cat has done bounced and I have to agree with ADA on that rejection of higher price on Friday. Oh for sure the supply did significantly dry up last week but I'm going to say, with about 51% confidence:confused:, DOWN.

YES, to both! Ha ha. I've never dabbled in these nano-cap stocks mostly out of my own ignorance of how to read the technicals. I always assumed owing to the float-size and regular possibilities for the slightest news resulting in massively outsized price moves that, to some extent, technical analysis norms don't apply to them (or at least not to the same extent as bigger float/cap equities.) So this week's pick is school-time for me! :D
