    Stockaholics Weekly T/A Charting Challenge Rules & Guidelines:

    1.) Participants will take turns each week to post up a chart.

    2.) Participants (including the chart picker) will need to then vote on the direction of the chart for the week (starting points from Friday's close), and will have up until 9:30am eastern time on the first trading day of the week. There will be a new poll up for each new week. Members who correctly predict the direction (Up or Down) of the chart by week's end will receive 10 points in the members leaderboard for that week.

    3.) Members who also provide some rationale for their direction vote (this can be brief) will be awarded another 2 points in the members leaderboard.

    4.) Members who simply "participate" in the challenge will receive 1 point for the week.

    Remember...the chart direction poll closes at the opening bell on the first trading day of the new week! So try to get those votes in ASAP!

    So, w/o getting into further ado have at it with the T/A on this week's charting challenge!

    (Chart to be posted in here sometime after the market closes on Friday.)

    Hey fellas, I see that I am up for next week. Since I am going to be super swamped this weekend, I figured I would just throw in next week's chart right now so as to not leave you all hanging until much later, since it's possible I wouldn't get around to updating this thread until Saturday afternoon, or even Sunday morning...

    I've edited in the first post of this thread with my selection for next week (Mickie D's).

    Here is our updated chart pickers list as of this week-

    ===========================================================
    1) @Steven_Burt (MIA)
    2) @anotherdevilsadvocate (already picked)
    3) @Onepoint272 (already picked)
    4) @Three Eyes (already picked)
    5) @rStock (already picked)
    6) @Lico Inv (MIA)
    7) @Stoch (already picked)
    8) NEXT UP!: @bigbear0083
    ===========================================================

    After this week we get to start it all over on a fresh new cycle. :D

    UP. The trend is up. I expect it will test the 206.50 area before continuing its upward trend. A 50-cent-box by 3-box-reversal point and figure count gives an upside target of 216.50 which just happens to coincide with the supply line of the up-channel on the daily time frame. A buy at 206.50 and sell at 216.50 would yield 4.8%.

    Voting up - Petty safe play, no trade exposure, defensive pick. Continues to grind higher, even above the up channel.

    MCD has been on a tear these past couple years. It just finished what for MCD might be considered a little pause and I think will resume the upwards trajectory. So, voting...

    Voting DOWN

    In the 1 hour chart, RSI is 70...rarely goes above 70. Of course, it will need to dip below 50, and not just pull back while holding above 50.

    I know volume has been picking up since the recent dividend date, and price has gone up. But it has been lagging the SPY during that time.

    Tough call, short week. I'm not buying MCD here. Going out on a limb that it'll end DOWN.
