Is there a website or a book out there that helps one to learn the basics of technical analysis and incorporates some tests to take to help reinforce learning?
I don't know about test, but a starting point can be found in the education forum here: https://stockaholics.net/forums/educational-videos-and-material.20/ Here's the link to the basics of technical analysis: https://stockaholics.net/threads/teach-me-technical-analysis.125/
I have found that Dr. Alexander Elders book "trading for a living" is an excellent source for learning technical analysis. You can look up a free downloadable pdf by searching it on Google. And if you look it up on YouTube there is a free audio book. I would suggest downloading the book because there are tons of charts and information that its nice to print out.
Trading in the Zone is a great book that can provide a lot of new knowledge, especially to a beginner. I even wrote a college paper about this book, because I liked it and I thought it would be useful to write about it. I have also used https://papersowl.com/free-plagiarism-checker to test his work before submitting it. Free plagiarism checker, by the way, a very useful tool for studying.
