    Hi

Can anybody tell me how to go about selling shares that have been listed from the NYSE? I own shares in China National Offshore Oil Corp - NYSE: CEO. This company was delisted by presidential order and so I seem to be stuck with them. TD Ameritrade said I could transfer them to a foreign brokerage account and sell them there but is that right? CNOOC trades on other exchanges but CEO shares are specific to the NYSE, no? Even if they are tradable abroad, can I as a US resident open an account in another country?

    Thanks for your help
    Mitch

Good question. You may need to try a stockbroker that operates in other countries, maybe interactivebrokers.com as an example.

Thanks StockJock-e. Took a while to get an answer from Interactive Brokers but apparently they can't do it because of the mix of delisted and other stocks in those accounts. Any other suggestions?
    Thanks
