As I said in my top picks thread, VLY has been out performing the big banks and the financial rally today has pushed VLY to the upper BB. I bought in the lower valley here and it is one of long term holds. Hopefully they will increase the 11 cent divi's.

VLY continues to climb with market and financials. One cent from breaking $10 and getting overbought. I would wait for a market pull back to enter. Earnings on April 27

VLY still creeping up with financials and the market down slightly. I do expect a pull back as VLY is overbought, just not sure when. This one of my longs.

I stumbled across VLY watching Mad Money when a caller mentioned it and Cramer shot it down. Doing my own research I liked the fundamentals and bought in. A few weeks later another caller and same scenario again. He used to do the same thing with LVS back in 09 until he could not ignore the LVS rocket anymore. I actually like Cramer and he is very knowledgeable about the market but sometimes I think he has his own agenda. I am now up 17.56% on my investment and just goes to show you, do your own DD.

My long VLY is getting slammed on earnings even though they looked decent. I am leveraged at a much lower price so I will hold and grit my teeth and take my divi's

After yesterdays beat down on earnings, VLY is making a move to go back up under bad market conditions. Only down 1 cent, I expect to see it go higher. I think the reason it go beat up so much yesterday was that there had been a increase in short interest in March

    Current price: 9.51

I actually bought all the way down to 8.90 to add to my position. I originally bought from the low to mid 8's and then took a hit on earnings and now making the climb back up with divi's adding up.

I really didn't need any more shares of VLY but it was like adding a dividend to my position as I just added a small slice near the LOD

VLY is one of my financial stocks I added to my position during the Brexit drop. I also have the SEP 16th $10 calls. With a good earnings and providing financials are back in favor give it a 70/30 chance of hitting 10

VLY down with a weak sector and devalue on divi's today probably. If your not in it, at or near 8.90 would be a good place to start for a 1st tier buy. May need a market sell off to get that price.
