Can someone dumb down what TQQQ is? Looking at it’s performance for the year, it seems like a good investment to hold onto, however, there were a few articles that said most ppl only have it for a day and that it isn’t meant for holding. I get that it triples the gain and also triples the losses of the Nasdaq, but why is this such a dangerous stock to have that most only have it for a day?
I have been wondering the same thing on this as well. Yahoo finance shows the stock since inception has a total rate of return at 6163% from 2010 to 2021. That puts the average return at 560% a year. Where's the catch?
