I'm trying to get some info on what people are watching and trading that has anything to do with marijuana and the recent vote to legalize rec in more states. ideas? success?
I read about this today actually- looks like top blew off already? would you still consider trading this up? any others?
any thoughts on these AURORA CANNABIS IN COM NPV (OTC: ACBFF). APHRIA INC NPV (OTC: APHQF). METTRUM HEALTH COR COM NPV (OTC: MQTRF). ORGANIGRAM HLDGS I COM NPV (OTC: OGRMF). SUPREME PHARMACEUT COM NPV (OTC: SPRWF). CANOPY GROWTH CORP COM NPV (OTC: TWMJF).
Just a cursory glance so far, but smart move focusing on the Canadian market. Thanks for the heads up on these
I don't play any Mary Jane stocks but just a heed of warning in the midterm: The new upcoming Attorney General, Sen. Jeff Sessions is totally against Marijuana. It could domino back to congress to impose some restrictions on the state's that have legalized or are going to legalize. Is it against the 10th amendant? I think so Just my 2 cents...TTT
thanks tiptop, always like cents... had this info on my radar. new administration could shake things up for sure. I could see it going the other way too though. I'm not actually in anything at the moment. I just want to get some good ones on my radar so I can trade them if it looks profitable. I expect lots of volatility. but if something does happen and they try to impose restrictions then I think it could be great for a trade
Canadian Licensed Producers: Aphria (OTCQB:APHQF), Aurora (OTCQB:ACBFF), Canopy Growth (OTCPK:TWMJF), Emerald Health (OTC:TBQBF), Mettrum (OTC:MQTRF), OrganiGram (OTCQB:OGRMF), PharmaCan Capital (OTC RMCF) (CSE - MJN), Supreme Pharma (OTCPK:SPRWF) and THC Bio (OTCPK:THCBF).
I've actually been tracking that last one on marketwatch's trading game for a couple months, not much movement during that time. Wouldn't mind putting in a bit of money in each of those hoping one or two take off when spring 2017 rolls around. In an ideal world, these producers would hold an equal market share but I can see the market being dominated by 2 or 3. The million dollar question is which ones will snatch the fresh slices of the pot pie.
My watch list currently, I'm liking Aphria and CGC, who just acquired Mettrum. I'm looking at Canadian companies only. Still doing my research, but these 2 seem to be setup well for recreational legalization in the spring.
CGC Mettrum deal official. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/mettrum-receives-court-approval-connection-214500833.html
The Canadian Cannabis market has been hot, I have positions in the following: MJN.V +47% APH.V +13% (uplisting to TSX soon) WEED +17% EMH. V +1% (brand new position) For now these are my big 4 with my eye on SL.CN and CMM.V Anyone playing any of these?
There are not very many ventures creating as much buzz as the therapeutic and recreational weed markets are nowadays. With enactment over the world, for the most part, slanting toward the legitimization—or if nothing else decriminalization of the medication—development potential is solid, with financial specialists searching out the marijuana penny stocks for 2017.Much like the legitimate status on cannabis, the decision on marijuana stocks is still open to question. While the bulls get a kick out of the chance to believe that the pot business is going to detonate with their idealism over the pending decriminalization and authorization of cannabis, the bears see marijuana stocks as an extremely dangerous venture to the point that they might be tricks. AbbVie Inc. (NYSE: ABBV), Aurora Cannabis Inc. (ACB.CN) (OTC: ACBFF), Cara Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ: CARA).
I'm not to keen on marijuana stocks at the moment. Theres a market for it no doubt about it but i don't think its as lucrative as one may think because of the limitations (not all states have legalized or even decriminalized it yet). If we start to see a global legalization effort including all 50 U.S states starting to legalize the market will be priceless. Until then i don't think its going anywhere yet.
I've been keeping a close eye on Cara Theraputics (CARA) for a while now It's not a "full fledged" marijuana stock, but they do use canabinoids in some of their studies...... Their main squeeze is non-opioid pain and anti-irritation medication There's been a lot of noise on the chart.. I've made some money and lost some money, but I haven't been inclined to hold yet.... Most of this noise and volatility came after appearing on Mad Money recently, which lets me know there are mighty powers at play
