First of off hi, new here but mainly came to ask this question for now. Do i go TD or Interactive? ( very new to trading )

A little info in case it help to give a better answer. I'm new to trading, have few meeting with a teacher showed me some basics and been using a practice acc on tcn2000, things were okish till about week and a half ago.

At the time,my teacher suggested to open an account on Interactive for their low fees but now i've found that TD has 0 fees.

Reviews i've found said interactive a good for intermediate trader and have a really complex hud(some how i dont feel like it would be a problem) while td suits better to the beginner and easier to read.

still youngling to trading so i intend to stick to us stock until i get the hang of it and have a good year run before i explore options or future contracts and what not.

TD sounds better, but cant get the suggestion of an experience trader who is doing it for a living to go with Interactive out of my head.

What do you guys say\suggest\think about this?

Edit - Forgot to add, first book reading on the subject is financial freedom through electronic day trading by van k tharp and brian june, good for a first read?
