Why are some call options randomly higher than others (look at the pricing on the $3 call)

    Supply and demand.

    Whomever drove that price up would have been wise to spread their orders around a bit.

    Is the "Price" the last trade or the ask price? If it's the last price, the $2.25 price on the $3 strike probably took place months ago and there hasn't been any interest in trading that strike since. Same with the $4.50 strike.
