I made a 3rd tier buy this morning. WPX is up slightly is this down market @6.40...I expect it to hit 7 and above in the near term.
After being up this morning on a upgrade, WPX finished at no change @6.34 in a market meltdown. The better news is what it did in After Hours on high volume. Currently oil is up about 3% and futures are up decent as well. If that all holds into tomorrow it should be off to the races. After Hours : 6.55 0.21 (3.31%) Volume: 3,228,472
I am leveraged pretty low so haven't set a stop yet. I need to recheck the chart from yesterday but I was looking at a target of 7.22 for my 1st tier sell. It had just fell from 6.99 with not upgrade that had a LT target of $11.

WPX came out the gate strong this morning on oil and up market touching the upper BB @6.99 and then the normal profit taking took place. I only took 1/4 my position off the table and have the rest of my shares destined for above the upper BB. In this market we never know what the next day will bring as WPX could go down if conditions are right and then I would reload on the shares I just sold. Other wise I will wait for the next trip north. I still have a 7.25 target on WPX before the promised land of 11. Considering oil being down and the market getting hammered today I thought WPX held up well. I did not do a reload from my sell yesterday as I am holding from a lower price. WPX came out the gate strong this morning with oil and the market at it's back but cooled off when the market made a reverse turn. I hope everyone that has been playing WPX took some chips off the table when it cracked through the upper bollinger band to 7.09. I raised my short term target price target a few cents to 7.25 on the trip to 11. Oil is currently trading between 40.14 and 40.30 and futures are up some. If this holds overnight this should be a good driver for WPX. I had read that $40 dollars was an important level because the wells they drill in the Permian Basin currently earn at least a meager economic return at a $40 oil price. I may have to adjust my target price if oil stays above $40.
WPX broke through the upper BB to 7.36. I took some profits but hold the bigger part of my position. If Oil can maintain above 40 so should WPX
