Market well off the lows. The VIX was at over 27 earlier but just up over 1% for the day now :p
The SPX did hit correction territory today but looks like the DOW didn’t get there :p
Looks like a good call on AMZN so far :D
SPY now off by 0.76% AH after apparently disappointing earnings from GOOGL and AMZN, QQQ down 1.53% AH
That’s pretty impressive, today the market making up a lot of its losses from yesterday :eek:
Nice bounce for the market today :D We were oversold and earnings are supportive I guess. We probably need to continue to see some good numbers...
I consider myself as a bull but I don't mind if we hit the bear market territory for the major indexes :p I really didn't feel like I wanted to...

PHLX Semiconductor Index is now also in bear market territory :eek: I think it could get worse tomorrow after the earnings from AMD
I wonder if the small caps have ever hit the bear territory even if just briefly after March 2009 :p Can't really remember :p
Actually AMD is now down big :eek: It was still up 3% when I looked not too long ago
Earnings after the close looking pretty good as of now, let's see if it will help the market tomorrow :D
I think the SPX and the DOW are probably pretty close to being in the red for the year now, but need to double check :p

The SPX and the DOW are almost in 10% correction, my guess is that we will get there before bottoming out
Tech and small caps now deep into correction territory, SPX and the DOW barely green YTD :eek:
Defensive sectors doing well, staples, real estates, and utilities are up nicely
VIX at 23 now. I don’t know, I still feel like we need more fear and panic before bottoming out :p If big tech stocks earnings later this week...
