I'm expecting a France/England final at this point. I think Croatia will be gassed from their last 2 long games. France in the finals over England 2-0.
I am happy for Croatia This team is something special and I will root for them in the Finals. I am guessing a 3-1 victory by the French though.
Yeah I like rooting for smaller country France probably will be one of the favorites again 4 years later. For Croatia though, they might not have another chance to win the WC for a long time if they miss this chance. Hope they will get it done
pretty insane WC that was! one for the history books imho. not too sure if we'll see another WC quite as amazing at this one. i know i didn't really contribute much to the discussions in here during the tournament, but i was very much watching and following along like the rest of you. pretty happy with the results. congrats to france! and kudos to croatia finishing 2nd. nice way to finish off what was perhaps the greatest world cup ever.
I spent the last couple hours with hundreds of Romanians in the bars and cafes of Brasov watching the finals. There are long-standing rivalries leading to a lot of war and bloodshed over the centuries here in the Balkans, but man everybody here was pulling hard for fellow-Balkan country Croatia. Up until that 3rd French goal, the atmosphere was pretty electric. There was an Irish pub in an alley around the corner, and from the cheers they were the only spot in Transylvania cheering on France. Good times!
Yeah overall it was a pretty fun WC, I was rooting for Croatia so kinda feeling down right now but France deserved it for sure. Next WC will be played in November and December which is very unusual In 2026 some games will be played in the US, so some of you might not need to travel much at all to watch it live in the stadiums
