2022 FIFA World Cup

Well the US is through to the Round of 16 The Dutch will not be easy and they will be considered as a favorite to beat us. This Dutch team is a little different from the past, in the past they were strong on offense and a little weak on defense, this time around they are pretty good on defense but a little weak on offense. We will see what will happen but I am guessing it will be a rather low scoring game but sometimes even a low scoring game can be entertaining too

 

If Argentina doesn't finish at the top of Group C tomorrow then the US will avoid them in the quarterfinals if they beat the Netherlands in the Round of 16, the US would play against Poland/Saudi/Australia/Denmark/Tunisia in the quarterfinals, wouldn't be easy game but probably better than against Argentina

 

If the current results stand then Germany and Spain are going through in Group E, looks like both Japan and Saudi will crash out of the group stage despite their dream starts in their first matches

I can see the potential upsets such as the US over the Netherlands and Senegal over England in the Round of 16. Argentina and France should go through unless they play really bad or Australia and Poland played out of their minds. Croatia wouldn't be easy for Spain and Morocco wouldn't be easy for Germany as well, I can see potential upsets in those 2 matchups too.

Beligum crashing out is a little bit of a surprise although many already thought they have already seen their best days before the tournament since their stars are getting older.

 

Japan scored, so Germany would be out I think unless they score more against Costa Rica

 

Wow Group E is crazy, Japan might actually finish at the top since they are leading 2-1 against Spain now while Germany will crash out of the World Cup, who would have thought Japan might beat both Germany and Spain but lose to Costa Rica, a lot of time left though.

 

Yeah pretty crazy Japan lost to Costa Rica but beat powerhouses like Germany and Spain Let's see if the US can beat the Dutch tomorrow, it is doable since the Netherlands haven't played all that great so far in this tournament.

Right now I am guessing the Final 4 will be Argentina, France, Brazil and Spain

 

Yeah the Japan vs Croatia game was pretty fun to watch. Brazil looking good I have to say, they will play against a likely very tired Croatia team on Friday when they already have an edge in talents. Brazil vs France is my pick for the Finals although it wouldn't be easy for France to beat England for sure

 

Spain and Portugal likely will be the favorites tomorrow but upsets are pretty possible for both games I think especially the Portugal/Switzerland game
