Good to see Morocco is in :D Good to see an African country joining the quarterfinals along with Europe and South America. Spain is really good at passing and keep possessions but seems like they need to be a little more aggressive in shooting, at the end of the day you need to score to win not just keeping the ball :hmm:

As of now it looks like Portugal will be in and they are playing better with Ronaldo on the bench, seems like age is finally catching up to Ronaldo

Portugal looking pretty good indeed, they might have an advantage in the semifinals if they make it and if England and France have to play 120 minutes or even going to the penalty

I can imagine some people rooting for Argentina (Messi) vs Portugal (Ronaldo) Finals, too bad Ronaldo no longer is an elite player now or it would be fun to watch both Messi and Ronaldo playing at elite levels in the Finals.

Wow the favorite Brazil is out  Gotta give credits to Croatia, doing well 2 World Cups in a row despite not having a big population like some other soccer powerhouses do. I was surprised Neymar was not among the first to take the penalty, seemed like a bad decision

LOL I spoke too soon, the Dutch didn't look like they had a chance before scoring their first goal, now we are heading to the extra time :D

that was about the worst dutch team I ever saw play. I'm an Arggie fan from my young days my wife is Dutch background and we always have a little bantering going on ever time arggie and the dutch are in the WC but even she admits that the games we watched the dutch look disinterested except for Gakpo. Cruyff must be burning his dutch shirt. I did say arggie will get rolling after that first lost, but a few good players will be out due to yellow cards for the game against Croatia.

I do agree with you with the time span of the game 90 plus added time. Yes some people believe penalty kicks are not fair these are people that probably never took a penalty shoot or never scored one. It looks easy but it's not I'm speaking from experience, now if you played a team a few times and get to know which side a goalie favours then you have an edge. Over the years we seen cheeky to blast it what coaches don't teach is to go to the V where the post and crossbar meet. In my days goalie were average height 5'9' to 5'11" so the V was a sure thing also the theory was a goalie no goalie wanted to go there cause he fear breaking his wrist.

I wonder if professional soccer players get bed sores from laying on the ground so much?
